Isn’t that crazy? Working 13 shifts in a row without any free day in between, and then working a late shift directly after a night shift. And in addition, I couldn’t just sleep in those 10 hours I had between those two shifts, no! I was awakened by a worker who had to work right there, at this moment. See me searching for another parking and then spending a night awake after a late shift.Read more
Well-being, wellbeing, or wellness is the condition of an individual or group. A high level of well-being means that in some sense the individual’s or group’s condition is positive. According to Naci and Ioannidis, “Wellness refers to diverse and interconnected dimensions of physical, mental, and social well-being that extend beyond the traditional definition of health. It includes choices and activities aimed at achieving physical vitality, mental alacrity, social satisfaction, a sense of accomplishment, and personal fulfillment”. And what does wellness mean for me personally?
Transcription (for English learners):
(at work / night shift):
Are you wondering what I’m doing?
I’m crossing out Christmas markets I won’t go to
and marking those I will go to.
(in the car after work)::
So, it’s the end of the night shift.
And I’m going to Bayerbach,
which is in the Easter part of Bavaria,
something like that,
and I’m visiting a Christmas market today.
(arrived in Bad Birnbach):
Can you see that little lake there?
I bathed in it like four months ago,
something like that.
Now I can’t, because it’s like 3 degrees.
I’ve arrived in Bad Birnbach,
which is about 120 km east of Munich.
And near here is this Christmas market I want to go to today.
So I will sleep here.
